This photograph was congratulated with the status HIGHLIGHT in the Landscape category and made an integral part of the portfolio and also the cover of the book “ASFERICO 2013”.
In recent years Rui Vieira has been developing work in the field of photojournalism, studio sessions, and has been photographing events and weddings with a fresh approach , innovative and more modern and less traditional, following the new trends simple, but with great visual impact, conveying with excellence moments, feelings and emotions.
My photographs combine digital capture and traditional filtration techniques with a simple workflow. Images are shot in RAW format to ensure the highest quality possible. I use Adobe Photoshop for processing. Adjustment of curves/levels, highlights, burning/dodging, saturation, sharpening and removal of dust spots, is part of routine processing known as digital retouching, such as employed by most professional photographers today. Further manipulation beyond this is not part of the workflow. I create images from single exposures only and light available at the scene. I don’t use photo-stitching, composite images, multiple exposure blending techniques. HDR, or any manipulations used to produce images commonly referred to as Photo Art. All of my images can be purchased or licensed and i am happy to supply any of the pictures featured on this website for Commercial or Editorial use.
